This print depicts the interior of a theater. Several actors move about the set at the top of the print. Individuals in the audience are minutely detailed. Near the left of the stage, a pair of half-naked men brawl while an actor chides them from above. Near the bottom of the image, several in the audience smoke long pipes. A man holds the hand of a child on a raised platform near the bottom left of the print.<br /><br />

A large crowd in the foreground gesture towards a group of figures seen in the doorway of a building in the distance at center. The figures in the distance, many holding lances, look at a standing semi-nude man framed in the doorway. Other figures look out of windows onto this open courtyard where the figures have congregated. The crowd in the foreground include a figure at the left holding a tall cross and another figures at the right, standing in shadow with a raised hand.

This print shows a corner of the interior of a theater. A small part of the stage is visible, and two performers stand on the stage. To the left, engulfing the view of the stage, the balconies wind from the lower right to the upper left and fill the top third of the print. The audience is portrayed as dark strokes of seated figures that are not detailed or well defined. The audience sits in darkness.
